In Memory of Kathleen Glenn-Gould

Kathleen Helen Glenn-Gould of Arroyo Grande passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at home surrounded by family at the age of 59. Kathi was born in Oak Park, Ill., and moved to San Luis Obispo County as a toddler. She graduated from San Luis High School in 1974, and married the love of her life, George Gould Jr., in December of 1992. Kathi is survived by her husband George Gould Jr., her father Fred Glenn, mother Patricia Christianson, brother David Glenn, and sister Judy El Hasni. Kathi was the chaplain for the American Legion Women's Auxiliary post #136 for over 12 years. As a member she was proud and honored to have provided many scholarships for deserving young women. She worked as a mentor and second mother to all who applied, with constant support and diligence. Kathi was loved by all who knew her, as she was such a loving, supportive and uplifting friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 2:00pm at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after at the American Legion Hall located at 417 Orchard Street in Arroyo Grande. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Legion Auxiliary Post #136.
